CanineOS
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how CanineOS collects, uses, stores, protects, shares, retains, and deletes information, including information received through Google APIs.
Effective date: July 25, 2026
1. Who We Are
CanineOS is a multi-tenant software platform developed and operated by Custom Canine Unlimited. It provides business operations, scheduling, booking, payment, kennel, training, communication, reporting, and client-portal tools for pet-care and dog-training businesses. In this policy, “CanineOS,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the CanineOS platform and its operator.
Businesses using CanineOS control the client, dog, employee, and operational information they enter into the platform. CanineOS processes that information to provide the services those businesses and their authorized users request.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information, including names, email addresses, telephone numbers, roles, authentication identifiers, and account preferences.
- Client and pet information, including contact details, addresses, dog profiles, photographs, vaccination and veterinary records, care instructions, health alerts, and service history.
- Booking and operational information, including reservations, registrations, services, schedules, assignments, training records, reports, messages, notifications, and transaction records.
- Payment-related information and transaction status. Payment-card information is handled by our payment processor; CanineOS does not store full card numbers.
- Uploaded content, including documents, photographs, videos, and records intentionally submitted by users.
- Technical and usage information, including IP address, browser, device, timestamps, security logs, referring pages, campaign parameters, and advertising click identifiers such as GCLID, GBRAID, and WBRAID.
3. Google User Data We Access
CanineOS accesses Google user data only after an authorized user chooses to connect a Google account and grants permission through Google OAuth. Depending on the features connected, this may include:
- Google identity information: basic account identifiers and email address used to identify the connected account and complete authorization.
- Google Calendar information: calendar identifiers, free/busy availability, and calendar events needed to check staff availability and create, update, or remove CanineOS booking and assignment events.
- Google Analytics information: accessible Analytics account names, GA4 properties, website data streams, measurement identifiers, and a dedicated Measurement Protocol secret created for CanineOS purchase and refund delivery.
- Google Ads information: accessible Google Ads customer-account identifiers and names, the CanineOS Purchase conversion action, conversion-upload results, and conversion adjustments for refunds or corrected values.
- OAuth credentials: access and refresh tokens needed to maintain the connection and perform authorized background synchronization.
CanineOS does not receive or store a user's Google password. CanineOS does not use these permissions to read Gmail, Google Drive files, or unrelated Google content.
4. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, secure, support, and improve user-facing CanineOS features.
- Authenticate users and enforce company, location, role, and permission boundaries.
- Manage bookings, reservations, registrations, care activities, schedules, payments, reports, communications, and client records.
- Synchronize authorized CanineOS appointments and assignments with connected calendars.
- Send purchase and refund events to the GA4 property and Google Ads account selected by an authorized company administrator.
- Prevent duplicate events, retry failed deliveries, reconcile transaction records, investigate errors, prevent fraud, and maintain security and audit history.
- Comply with legal, accounting, contractual, and regulatory obligations.
Google user data is used only to provide or improve the prominent user-facing features the user authorized. We do not use Google user data to determine creditworthiness, make lending decisions, build data-broker databases, train general-purpose artificial-intelligence models, or create advertising profiles unrelated to the connected company's requested measurement features.
5. Google API Limited Use
CanineOS's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell Google user data. We do not transfer Google user data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers except for the specific Analytics measurement and Ads conversion delivery expressly initiated and configured by the authorized user.
6. How We Share Information
We disclose information only as necessary to provide CanineOS, as directed by an authorized customer, or as required by law. Recipients may include:
- The CanineOS company and authorized staff or clients whose roles permit access.
- Infrastructure, database, hosting, storage, security, messaging, payment, customer-communication, and support providers acting on our behalf under appropriate obligations.
- Google services when an administrator enables Calendar synchronization, Analytics measurement, or Ads conversion tracking.
- Government authorities or other parties when disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, and platform integrity.
- A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to this policy and applicable law.
CanineOS does not sell personal information or Google user data.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. These include encrypted network transport, protected hosted storage, role-based access controls, company-level data isolation, restricted administrative access, secure secret handling, authentication controls, logging, monitoring, and backup and recovery practices.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their credentials, choosing appropriate permissions, and notifying us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
8. Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide CanineOS, maintain security and audit records, complete transactions, satisfy the connected company's instructions, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations. Retention periods vary according to the type of record and applicable requirements.
Google OAuth tokens are retained while the related connection remains enabled or until the authorization is revoked, replaced, deleted, or no longer required. Disconnecting Google stops future access and synchronization. Operational events already delivered to Google remain subject to the connected user's Google account settings and Google's retention practices.
Users may request deletion of their account or eligible personal information by contacting canineos@customcanineunlimited.com. We will verify the requester's authority and act subject to applicable law, contractual requirements, legitimate security needs, and required record retention.
9. Your Choices and Controls
- Review and update eligible profile and pet information through CanineOS.
- Manage communication and notification preferences where available.
- Disconnect a Google integration through CanineOS.
- Revoke CanineOS access through the Google Account permissions page.
- Request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion where applicable.
- Contact the business that manages your CanineOS account or contact CanineOS directly for assistance.
10. Children’s Privacy
CanineOS is intended for businesses, their authorized personnel, and adult pet owners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without legally valid authorization.
11. International Processing
CanineOS and its service providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate. Where required, we use appropriate contractual and legal measures for cross-border processing.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in CanineOS, connected services, legal requirements, or data practices. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Material changes to Google user-data practices will be reflected here and in relevant in-product notices before they take effect when required.
